Siam Shade EVERLASTING

Many regards, first the apologies, the main idea was to notify the calendar updates (via mail)  at least on May 1st. Yet many of the members won’t publish their activities, pretty incredibly Livecast had a delay of at least one week to submit their final schedule, it was then when I realized what was going on, a bit weird I must say:  Golden Week (a series of festivities/holidays) in Japan showed up its power!!! So, as there are activities for this month, they may not be as many as in tough April.

I hesitated on sending mail after mail which could end in the spam folder or the trash (I rather like sending a solely bold mail once). Nonetheless, if some visitors checked the site meanwhile, they could see how the lives and events were being added like silent drops one after another.

News

• So news, you can read what’s been going on finally with ACID and their remaining members here, new members, old friends, a change in their style of music and a new Live to be held.
• At the same time, in order to celebrate their anniversary,  BINECKS has decided to held a series of special events in a limited time, starting … May 21th!!! as for so they are inviting all the fans to drop by their site since this Wednesday, May 20th. More information here.

Lives & Streaming Chart

• BULL ZEICHEN 88 opened the month, KAZUMA and NATCHIN followed. All by Livecast as always. I wanted to record the interviews, yet it was imposible to me, in the mid of distraction I heard that  BULL ZEICHEN 88 could be recording a new album, but it is more a gossip than something confirmed, note that the show airs at rush hour here. KAZUMA was invited as a guest in NATCHIN‘s hour past week, as KAZUMA‘s show is half an hour before. So if anyone has recorded the shows I’ll be thankful if anyone can handle them to me in anyway.
• The last Lives of DETROX have been added to the calendar, being the last Vol9 (Librarian) and the Vol8′s (Sexmachine Guns) data & date have been confirmed, I am glad to say tickets sold out!
• I also had on queue BIG BITES 「JET STREAM ATTACK」 nationwide tour, so all the performances to be held on June have been added  already.
• I wasn’t quite sure but Gackt‘s tour has been added too, as JUN-JI participates on it. You’ll find it under  JUN-JI 「Gackt Visualive Arena Tour 2009」 (Yeah, I did shortened the name). Also as some other of JUN-JI‘s activities: KORE-I-JUN‘s lives have been added to the chart.

Articles

• I translated (as an article) the BINECKS 「Permanent Crystals」 FINAL LIVE in AKASAKA BLITZ LIVE REPORT from meVIEWsa radio autorship, a site I enjoy because they always send me good reading news. I know it might be a bit late, yet I’ll be expanding it with more photos, as I don’t think a new entrie is needed for the purpose. I apologize in advance for the translation, as it’s the first time I ever do a complete trans, so there might be tons of mistakes due to my almost nonexistent Japanese, the try is made after years of decoding stuff though.
• Between the further projects I am planning another small article on DETROX‘s performances. I am only announcing it by now, but wait for it, as I’ve doing quite a research on it.

Discography

• While back I added to the discography the profile of BINECKS‘s new single 「Blue Feather」.
• And past week I added Needless Lyrics (ex-ACID)’s new homonym album 「Needless Lyrics」.
• Profile’s name for BINECKS‘s 「SPECIAL DVD」 was changed to  「Permanent Crystals SPECIAL DVD」 for the name to stand correct, also, pictures of the disc and more information of the content were added, like the names of the 3 songs that were recorded on the Live included in the Special 1 from the DVD, check it out. Reviewing the setlist from that Live I must say I felt a bit disappointing that 「Influence of Love」 wouldn’t make it to the DVD, but anyways. I am not a youtube dedicated fan when it’s related to musical issues (mostly due to the low quality audio & video music is “shared”) but if someone finds the lives there I’d appreciate to be aware of it.

Voice: I’ve been lacking of time lately, April was a terrible month for so many reasons, mostly familiar. Bad news that are never few, personal issues, killing deadlines for the magazine, the job and many other projects. I thought of giving up. But then I thought of how much I fought to take back EVERLASTING, rebuild it and give it its own place, to now find the guts and erase it and with it 5 years of my life. This site’s intention was always to support the members that formed SIAM SHADE, call it love for the music, call it fanatism (never in a bad way), hoping the project would help to spread and maintain the support for the guys, even being overseas, and for so less than the main target, but in a constant growing up.

I wanna thank to everyone who visits the site and who support the artists, spreading the news, hearing their music (purchasing their records, I wish!) and being pendant from their activities, also I wanna thank the person who’s been supporting me in all these late hard moments: thank you!

I’ve got my doubts onto publishing information about this, however… I’ve been informing about ACID, so I guess I’ll go a bit further with this band too.

As some may know (if not everyone), ACID‘s official site vanished on April, the name of the band with the remaining members was changed to Needless Lyrics, as can be seen on now’s ACID official ex-site, where an instrumental melody can be heard at the top page’s background.

Apparently without a vocal, the band was introduced with 3 members: DAISUKE (Gu), YUTAH (Ba) and SEIICHIROH (Dr). However, there were 4 people in the official site, a 4th member that remained nameless and without a known position in the band.

All in one breath, the band would release their 1st Album on May 13th, homonymous entitled, without much information about its content but basic data until its public release.

This way, the album was officially released yesterday, supported by TOWER RECORDS and AKATSUKI Label, the tracklisting went on public, and the unknown 4th member of Needless Lyrics became to light (yet not in the official site)  but by means of ORICON:

The album profile with its 11 tracks can be seen here [ link ]. The samples of 4 tunes including the instrumental can be heard at the official site. The album can be got through Amazon.jp. Saddly, CDJapan informed me via email they won’t be able to get the album as with some special circunstances in the past, so it will be difficult to get ahold of it.

Needless Lyrics will pursue the fans’s support through this new path in their career helding a Live, in the same place where ACID standed up on the stage for the last time:

Note: There’s no info onto this in the web so I transcripted the entire setlist from an image. It was divided in sections and as so I am maintaining it.

Even though former songs weren’t included, for ACID‘s ideology maybe,  it is a touching Setlist, almost all songs I love were included. Those riffs, god, I’ll miss ACID‘s guitars, they made an amazing playground indeed. Junpei grew so much, all did, a well-made farewell to a solid rock band.

There are no pics from the Live I could grab. Still these are some I borrowed from Hisacy‘s, who contributed a lot to the band in past years:

Well, to be honest I wasn’t going to debate this particular issue to start this group (Transcription from the facebook group)… because I thought it to be box-populi and overall for the sadness involved. Today I recieved a mail with this inquiry “¿What’s going on with ACID?” just then I realized that there wasn’t much information available. Is not that I am aware of it all more than anyone, but maybe with your help we can clear up the gossip cloud so we all can go through on what’s been happening since July 2008, a new that’s been surrounding in sites like Last.FM, one of the first on this. Doubts are mainly on JUNPEI‘s illness, MASAMITSU‘s left and ACID‘s venture from there on…

Following are fragments from ACID‘s Official Site [http://www.acid1.jp/] in a raw/poor translation, I beg your pardon and understading.

July 5th – From ACID to all their fans

[JUNPEI] To everyone who have given us support. Since a long time I’ve been dealing with this illness, 3 years now with “pneumothorax”, past year I had to hang up a live because of a surgery. And, to be honest, the “pneumothorax” has been present even months after with the result of another medical procedure. Even the pain in the chest, I kept on singing. Was in May of this year, that the “pneumothorax” sent me to a 3rd surgery. Because of these 3 times, I made up my mind to confront members and staff, because of the extreme worry.

Then you think. I can’t keep worrying neither the staff nor the members with the responsibility and being a burden to them. Therefore, it is on September 26th from present year, that I present my formal resignation from ACID, so to make music in a healthy way it was decided that I should rest. From the members came “there’s no need of resignation”, but the fact is… it was decided for being the best for us all in the near future.

Suddenly you feel you must give such a new to the fanbase who supported us that much… As an apology to everyone, I’d like to say, “probably I can get back to music in a while”. To everyone, fans, members and staff, that supported me and for whom I kept on singing. I love you all. For these 4 years, truly thank you.

[DAISUKE] ACID‘s everyday activity is like a light. We’s like to thank these two people JUNPEI and MASAMITSU. Even you may not know, you were the base behind it all with everyday you’ve given to ACID.

[MASAMITSU] Joining ACID, approximately 4 years ago, to the members, to the staff, to all the fanbase that’s been supporting us till now, we are really thanked. We’ve grown together side to side.  With all that was learnt in this 4 years, it could be thought that we’d like to start over. Must never think that (my parting) is because of the music or the band becoming a problem. It’s just and advanced decision to confront newer opportunities. By way of compensation for the regret on staying… the ACID guitar will explode in power in the September 26th LIVE. We do hope everyone can attend it.

[YUUTA] It happens that MASAMITSU and JUNPEI leave ACID. By reading their commentaries you can meet their reasons, understanding. But in these three months, it was that after a lot of chats a conclusion was reached between members and staff. And as stated, JUNPEI, in September 26th the Live will be made with this 5 people with whom you sang a whole round way. I’d like to express all my caring for the fanbase that has supported this 5 people that make ACID, it’s the main intention of this Live. It’s been a long time since with SEIICHIROH were looking for a new member, wondering if it was possible to transmit this new sound that now became real, it’s interesting. Even now, there are many different feelings and thoughts in all of us. However two people are leaving now. We should all grow next to each other, till the day when we’ll take up again, and without stopping we’ll walk by separated paths. We ask from you to support ACID in the future.

[SEIICHIROH] (…) I don’t believe in any way that these years were a waste of time, because in that way we’ve got to have this ACID. (…) From now on JUNPEI and MASAMITSU will keep on going in other road, and we’d like to keep on too. To everyone, really, thanks.

ACID members are including a signature in the “ACID mirror mini” (I know it sounds weird, still is what I understood, the “ACID mirror mini” is a small mirros with ACID‘s logo stamped in the cover, a goodie).

In the last Live, past July 5th, both JUNPEI and MASAMITSU formally announced their resignation. Last Live will be held on September 26th, to everyone, we are expecting your support that day!

For the gift, 1 per person will be given, from the 1st to the 15th of August, to apply it’s mandatory to register in the  ACID Mobile official page.

August 29th – Autograph Signing “The Prologue T-shirt” and “Prologue sticker” Gift

September 1st – ACID “Starting Over” Live DVD Release is decided

(…) The last performing with the complete lineup of ACID will be held on September 26th, also it will mark up the start of the new ACID. Having this strong thought, we’d like that even the people that won’t attend the live can see it, therefore it was urgently decided the DVD release and sale! Answering the recall from fans, a limited production will be made.

That would be all, I do hope any doubts are cleared now by the ACID members own words. At start, it was somewhat ambiguos what would happen with the band, but at last it was decided that ACID will keep even though the leaving of two or their most important members. We do hope this new ACID project continue reafirming their career in the same way they’ve doing lately, proving they are not only some kids that can play rock as some may refer.

 

Como una pequeña capsula, en la primera semana de lanzamiento, el album “PRAY FOR THE FUTURE” de ACID alcanzó el puesto número 1 en los charts Indies de Tower Records  (fecha Junio 11).  A lo cual solamente agradecen a todos el apoyo brindado.

Acto seguido empieza en Japón el tour de verano como estaba programado.

Supongo que la noticia ha sido de gran motivación, en especial para las presentaciones que le siguen. A los amigos en Japón, no se olviden de pasarse por un live de ACID.
